EWCs 1/2

Economic attributions of the EWCs

EWCs are the instrument which ensures that an equal level of knowledge is reached in the various companies and factories concerned, which leads to an equal treatment in terms of information on the economic, financial and social situation of the organisation.

They have an increasingly important role, particularly in restructuring processes, especially in terms of information and consultation.

This tendency should be reinforced with the current revision of the European directive which should extend and enrich the economic prerogatives of the EWC, particularly in case of a restructuring.

Expressed needs: Greater knowledge!

Our experience within the EWC but also in congresses, conferences and European events linked to EWCs and European Trade Unions places us at the heart of experience and know-how. Among recent events.

We have a permanent European team with two leaders, a project leader, a documentalist, and about 40 experts involved in European assistance missions.

We are in permanent liaison with ETUC trade unionists and with the various European Trade Union Federations.

Syndex is currently carrying out about 15 economic interventions for EWCs, but also works occasionally on economic training courses or studies.
